Heidi - Vocals

Heidi Akmal, better known by his stage name Addy Shadows, is the vocalist of THE FHASE. Although he began his journey as an active musician in 2025, his passion for music started much earlier, growing up in a family where singing and music were part of everyday life.

Addy discovered his love for singing at the age of 11, inspired by his family members who enjoyed karaoke and had a natural talent for music. His early musical influence came from Indonesian pop band Dadali, with Disaat Aku Mencintaimu being one of the first songs he learned to sing. At 14, he picked up his first guitar, a kapok/acoustic guitar, after being inspired by his school friends.

As his musical taste developed, Addy's interest gradually shifted towards heavier music. Avenged Sevenfold became his biggest influence, with M. Shadows inspiring his vocal style and musical direction.

His first live performance took place in 2025 at BeKL, Cheras, where he performed with Sweet Revenge in an Avenged Sevenfold tribute show. Performing in front of around 300 people was a major milestone for him. After the performance, several audience members commented on the similarity between his voice and that of M. Shadows, giving Addy the confidence to continue developing his skills as a vocalist.

Since May 2025, Addy has continued performing live and gaining experience as a frontman. Influenced by Nu Metal and modern heavy rock, he describes his stage presence as cool, chill and controlled. He believes in managing his energy and knowing the right moments to unleash it, allowing his vocals to remain his strongest feature.

As part of THE FHASE, Addy contributed his vocals to the band's single "Andai", including its studio recording and music video. Another important milestone was the band's appearance on KLTV, which he considers a significant step in introducing THE FHASE to a wider audience.

For Addy, these experiences are more than just career milestones. They represent the growth of his journey as a musician and his contribution to THE FHASE. He hopes his story will encourage others to create music and pursue the genres they genuinely love.

Looking ahead, Addy dreams of seeing THE FHASE reach the highest levels of the Malaysian music scene, with the ambition of winning Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL). Beyond Malaysia, he hopes to perform at Graspop Metal Meeting alongside legendary acts such as Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet for My Valentine.

To Addy, THE FHASE is more than just a band. It is a musical journey and a part of everyday life. He hopes the band can become a meaningful part of listeners' lives while remaining distinctive and unafraid to create music with its own identity.

His personal philosophy reflects the role music has played in his life:
